What would you call the enforcement scene above, overkill? You would certainly have to say they were putting some "teeth" into speed limit enforcement. What we have is amazing illustration of covenant. The sign simply says, "Speed limit enforced by aircraft." You wouldn't expect the aircraft enforcing speed limit to be a military helicopter! Maybe they're just kidding, but who wants to take the chance? It looks like they mean serious business. However, if you just obey the speed limit, you can enjoy the highway and scenery, without any interruption of your travel. If you don't, then wow, what an awesome enforcement vehicle!

In today's reading from Leviticus, we find that God really means business when it comes to His laws and statutes, too. God has just finished giving details to Moses as to how they should obey God's law. Then here in Leviticus 26 He describes the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. Hey, the military chopper above is a mere grasshopper compared to the awesome power of God Almigty.

The message here, is simply obedience. It is time to focus on obedience to God's standard of holiness. If we obey, there are blessings , and if we rebel and do it our way, then we must know that there will be consequences. Today I want to encourage you to obey God. Have a blessed day.
