Prayer Meeting
We are certainly having some great prayer meetings on Friday nights. There may not be very many of us attending, but there is such an awesome awareness of God's presence as we pray together. This is of course evidence of His promise to us in Matthew 18:20,

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

There were six of us last night, and I want to say just how much I appreciate those who are coming to pray. Besides sharing prayer concerns with one another and lifting those specific need in prayer, we are also praying for needs as God reminds us of them during aour prayer time. Sometimes this kind of Spirit-led praying brings a boldness to pray about some very serious issues, including our prayers for our community with regard to the gang problems and meth labs.

Perhaps you are not able to join us physically at the church on Friday nights, but I want to encourage you to take some time to pray anyway, anywhere you can.

As Moses and the children of Israel wandered throught the wilderness, they did not have to rely on God's promised presence. They had a visual manifestation of God's presence daily in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. We may not have that physical manifestation, but we certainly become aware of His awesome presence when we pray together.
I am looking forward to wonderful answers to our prayers, and asking God to make Himself known to you as you seek to know him more fully through prayer. Have a blessed day.
